My wife has given our son a two week deadline to pick out his halloween costume. He picks the most outrageous costumes. While other kids are dressing up as a witch or a ghost, he has gone out as a boot. Yes, a big red boot, and a tooth brush a few years ago as well. That was a fun one, driving around the streets of Winnipeg trying to find a million straws that would act as the bristles of a toothbrush. That was the easy job, for my wife, it was hundreds of creative hours putting this thing together. Did I mention that the toothbrush had to be an Oral B toothbrush? In life, at that point, if it wasn’t Oral B, he wouldn’t use it. Who says tv advertising doesn’t work?! LOL Darn right it does.
With the boot, it was a chicken wire mould with paper mache. I took him out trick-or-treating, and let me say, it was a little awkward climbing up stairs and turning corners as the boot would slam into door frames, walls etc not knowing how wide the costume was.
I’m dying to know what this year will be, and where I will have to drive to get supplies, but that’s the easy part!
