A recall on ground beef is being expanded across Canada.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has added a number of products because of the risk of E. coli contamination. It also covers some brands of sausage and frozen patties.
The manufacturer, XL Foods Inc., of Edmonton, Alta., and various retailers, processors and distributors have voluntarily recalled the affected products from the marketplace.
The meat has been sold at Loblaws, Sobeys, Costco, Foodland and Wal-Mart stores.
