Felix Baumgartner is the first skydiver to break the sound barrier. The Federation of Sports Aviation says Baumgartner reached a speed of almost 14-hundred kilometres per hour during his jump over New Mexico. After landing safely in the desert, the Austrian daredevil said it may well have been his ultimate stunt. Baumgartner landed about nine minutes after jumping from roughly 38-kilometres above the Earth.
